The grant was issued as an effort to enforce and educate the public about the new speed limit on the road.
The new speed limit on Bouquet Canyon Road, from the Bouquet Reservoir to Texas Canyon, has been reduced from 55 mph, to 45 mph.
The new speed limit was reduced in May by L.A. County officials in an attempt to slow the speed of the motoring public and reduce traffic collisions.

Over the last few days, extra patrol units were sent into Bouquet Canyon Road for enforcement purposes.
During the special enforcement detail, officers focused their efforts on speed violations and crossing over double yellow lines.
Officers made contact with a total of 38 motorists, 32 of which were cited for either speed or crossing over double yellow lines into oncoming traffic.
The CHP will continue to monitor and enforce the traffic on Bouquet Canyon Road, along with all the other county roads that are located within the 674 square miles of the Newhall Area.
