The highly anticipated luxury senior living community Oakmont of Valencia is now accepting priority reservations for future residents ahead of its grand opening slated for summer of 2019, officials said Thursday.

While Oakmont of Santa Clarita on Newhall Ranch Road celebrated its three-year anniversary this month, an ongoing waitlist and apparent need for more memory care availability prompted Oakmont officials to announce plans for a second community on Copper Hill Drive in December.
“We are currently under construction,” said Margie Veis, who is transitioning from her role as executive director at Oakmont of Santa Clarita to the same position at Oakmont of Valencia. “It’s going to be beautiful.”

An information center recently opened at the construction site of the new community, where families can visit with their senior loved ones and learn about all Oakmont of Valencia is expected to offer its future residents.
“We have families that are coming in and actually doing priority reservations and choosing rooms for their loved ones,” Veis said.
She continued, “We’re going to have assisted living, we’re going to have memory care, we have two movie theaters, we’re going to have a bocce ball court — it’s going to be amazing.”

Oakmont is a luxury senior living community in Santa Clarita. Oakmont of Santa Clarita opened on Newhall Ranch Road in Jan. 2016, and a second community, Oakmont of Valencia, is currently under construction on Copper Hill Drive, with priority reservations now available. Oakmont of Santa Clarita is comprised of 80 pet-friendly apartment units, with both independent and assisted living options available. Residents can enjoy five star amenities like a salon & day spa, movie theater, fitness center, restaurant-style dining, gardens and walking paths, pet park, wellness center and more. A separate wing of the community, called Traditions Memory Care, is dedicated to meeting the specialized needs of seniors with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
