One person was transported to the hospital Thursday after a stabbing in Newhall.

Around 9:22 p.m. Thursday, emergency responders received reports of an assault in an apartment complex on the 26300 block of Meadowridge Drive in Newhall, according to Dispatch Supervisor Ellis with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“The call came from sheriff’s, it was reported as a stabbing, ” said Ellis.

A female victim was reportedly transported to the hospital, per officials on scene.

The incident remains under investigation by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Station as of 10:00 p.m. Thursday.

Although there was another medical call to a nearby address at the same time, LACoFD officials could not confirm if it was related to the stabbing.

Ellis indicated that the second incident may have been an unrelated domestic issue.
