A Lancaster woman was arrested after allegedly stealing personal belongings from bags in Valencia Tuesday.
Around 4 p.m., deputies responded to a petty theft on the 26100 block of Magic Mountain Parkway in Valencia, said Deputy Mariela Picard, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“A witness reported observing the suspect stealing items from bags that did not belong to her,” Picard said. “Surveillance cameras also caught the suspect going through bags that did not belong to her.”
The suspect, Rmesha White, 18, from Lancaster, was arrested for identity theft, according to Picard.
