KHTS Radio Santa Clarita Radio – Santa Clarita News
Kona Ice is a shaved ice truck that has been serving shaved ice to the Santa Clarita community since 2011. Their main mission is to put smiles on customer’s faces. Their care for the community is what personifies this mission by giving back in as many ways as possible. They give back 20% of their proceeds to non-profit organizations. Because of this, they are cherished in the community by both young and old.
Shaved Ice With A Smile
Kona Ice serves authentic Hawaiian flavors and you can taste it clearly in their shaved ice. Their name, “Kona” originates from Hawaii, with the meaning, “leeward.” Their origins are from Kentucky. Tony Lamb, the CEO, started this company with a thought of “ice cream trucks are creepy. What if we sold shaved ice off of a trick that was super fun and inviting?”
You can see their shaved ice truck very easily. With their vibrant colors, tropical music, and “Kona Ice” logo printed clearly on the side of the truck. They create a contagious lively environment wherever they go. You can see it at fundraisers, sporting events, and schools.
Their refreshing and delicious shaved ice is unrivaled, but that’s not the only thing they’re unrivaled at. Their care for the community is unrivaled as they care about the health of the community as well. Kona Ice is very health conscious and cares about nutrition and as a result, use natural flavors in their shaved ice with their main ingredient being fruit.
