Action Drug Rehab Hour –Regan, Josh, and Jay – July 31st, 2023
On this episode of The Action Drug Rehab Hour, host Cary Quashen brings on three Action Drug Rehab members – Regan, Josh, and Jay. Cary opens up the show by discussing the nature of fentanyl overdoses today and the reasons and habits that lead people to seek rehab in the first place. From there, Regan shares her story about alcoholism and the recent overdose of her husband. She has been through several rehabs and finally ended up at Action where she has made 13 days worth of progress in sobriety. She sends a message to her children by stating “she doesn’t want to die anymore”. Josh opens up about his alcoholism, stating that he used it as a way to escape his depression. Jay opens up about his experience by describing how alcohol use was normalized in his family. He believed he would never be an addict but ended up becoming “dope sick” after being exposed to perc that ended up containing fentanyl.
After the first break, the guests bring up their families and the message each one wants to send to them. Jay to his daughters, Regan to her children, and Josh to his parents. Cary encourages them to break the cycle of addiction and become a person that you’d want your child to grow up into.
Finally, the guests wrap up the show by providing closing statements about Action and the progress they’ve made on their sobriety journey.
Founded by Cary Quashen in 1997, Action specializes in treating those suffering from addiction to all drugs, including alcohol. We offer three levels of care: Residential, Outpatient, and Partial, which is a hybrid of inpatient and outpatient care.
