Our Afternoon Drive host Tori welcomes Dave Nyberg to discuss the various events and opportunities being offered through Valencia Technical Institute.

About Valencia Technical Institute (via scvtech.org):

“We are a small team of dedicated instructors.  We are all professional electronics engineers that have been in the electronics industry for decades.  We have been mentoring interns and training technicians for over 60 years.  We have been on the hiring end of technicians and quite frankly, really good technicians are very hard to find.  So we decided to start a technical training school right here in the Santa Clarita area.

What we have found as engineers is that the training available for such a high demand skill is quite poor, limited and expensive and we don’t think things should be that way so we are trying to do something about it.  If you can add, subtract, multiply and divide simple numbers, you can be a professional electronics technician or an electrical engineering technician.”
