Monica Gilchrist of Gilchrist Farm joins our Morning Drive program to discuss this Saturday’s Holiday Hoedown!

The event will begin at 11 a.m. with a horse and rider holiday costume parade led by Santa himself. There will also be pony rides, wagon rides and face painting to keep children and families entertained throughout the day.

Some featured holiday snacks at the farm will include different sweet treats, tamales and even a hot chocolate bar. There will also be different demonstrations during the day, such as pinecone decorating, doll making and candle making.

Santa Claus will also be available all day during the event to take pictures with families and hear holiday wishes. The Gilchrist Farm petting zoo of goats, pigs and ducks will also be ready to meet guests who attend.
