On today’s program, Cary and Michael discuss the adverse effects of marijuana. The guys highlight a recent study published by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine titled “The Health Effects of Cannabis and Cannabinoids: The Current State of Evidence and Recommendations for Research.”

Cary and Michael also discuss the concept of contracts that individuals enter into with themselves at a very young age. Cary explains the process in which we break these contracts with ourselves, from an innocent initial split to a potentially life-threatening addiction.

Statistics from today’s program:

“One of every seven Americans will develop a drug problem in their lifetime.”

“For the first time, the average life expectancy has dropped among Americans. This is mainly the result of drug prevalence in our country.”

  1. Oh, good grief. – Science and widespread experience have shown marijuana has no significant harms. – Neither is it addictive.

This is all ideology and no substance. – Every person who switches from addictive, very harmful alcohol to near harmless marijuana, improves their health tremendously – as well as the lives of their family and community.
