The show begins on Morrell discussing how he came to faith and his younger life.

When he was running he tried to keep his duty to god and country strong, Morrell said. When he was growing up faith wasn’t a strong point in his household and didn’t have a strong connection. There was a lot of alcohol use by his parents and in turn when he hit his late teens early 20’s followed suit and turned to alcohol as his main vice.

In his early 20’s Morrell was invited to hear a professional football player speak however didn’t know the ex-player was a current pastor.

“I don’t remember the words he said but he was saying I think God’s spirit was speaking to me,” Morrell said. “I went home that night and grunted and that must’ve been my cry out to God, because after that things started to happen in my life.”

From then on Morrell turned his life around and began into politics and kept a strong belief in his faith.

“I tried to do the best I could in a difficult state,” Morrell said.
