On this episode of the SCV Non-Profit Spotlight Show with Janice Murray, Councilman Bob Keller and Officer in Charge of Santa Clarita Valley Salvation Army Corps., Jerry Bloom, join the show to talk about the salvation army and the iconic red kettle that signals the start of their incredible fundraising efforts. Every year the Salvation Army red kettle appears in front of stores across the country. Those red kettles have helped generations of people receive the care, clothing, supplies, addiction support and so many other hard-to-come-by resources for those in need. The Salvation Army takes great pride in their holiday fundraiser, and in the Santa Clarita Valley alone they help hundreds of people each year. Jerry Bloom and Bob Keller join the show to talk about what the Salvation Army does each year, and how you can get involved in the effort to help people that so badly need it.

Later in the show, Councilman Bob Keller shares a moving, powerful story on how important the Salvation Army can be to a person’s life. He also shares that on December 8th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., he will be collecting donations at Vons at Sand Canyon to help contribute to the organization that helped him.

Take a listen and find out how you can help spread the holiday cheer and kindness with Janice, Bob and Jerry!
