Segement 1 – Healthy Retirement

“Our seniors want to stay retired … and people forget that means a lifetime of Saturdays.” – Arif Halaby

“If you were inclined to spend a lot of money before … don’t expect that to change when you’re retired.” – Arif Halaby

Tips for maintaining a healthy life in retirement

  1. If you had bad spending habits before retirement you will probably have those same habits once retired. And the opposite is true, if you fear spending money so much that you are always frugal, you will probably be the same in retirement. Finding a good balance is the key.
  2. Make sure your relationships are solidified “I don’t want you to be alone in retirement.” – Arif Halaby
  3. Somebody has to count on you from volunteering to watching grandkids. “A big part of life has to be where people are counting on you.” – Arif Halaby

Segment 2 – SCV Senior Center

“Every Wednesday from 1-2pm we have a lecture … to promote health and quality of life in seniors.” – Natalie Newton
