Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month — February 11, 2019

On this episode of The Way Out Recovery Hour, Bob Sharits is joined by Nila Karimzai of the Child & Family Center’s Domestic Violence Program to talk about Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. Nila works with schools around the valley to help make students aware of the violence they can experience by getting in contact with the wrong person or people. One in three high school students will experience an abusive relationship, and Nila and the Child & Family Center’s Domestic Violence Program are working hard to help reduce this rate. Nila provides criteria for what is an abusive relationship, what it can feel like to be in one and how you can get out of one or make the relationship better.

Listen in as Bob and Nila talk about Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, how prevalent teen dating abuse is and how you or someone you know can get out of or improve an abusive relationship.
