“The best real estate advice you’ll ever get is, “Don’t Purchase A Home Strictly On Your Emotions.” Take all the facts and figures into account and don’t let your emotions rule your decision. They can certainly be a part of it but don’t let them guide you completely. Making a list of the pros and cons is one of the easiest ways to make a decision. This will take the good, the bad and even the ugly all into account. The “pro” may be the location and the “con” may be the commute. Write them down because if you keep them all in your head it’s hard to take a step back and see the big picture. This is probably one of the largest investments you’ll ever make so weighing in all the factors is a must. There is a saying, “Buyer’s Remorse” for a reason. They simply didn’t take the time to look at all the information before they made their decision. Don’t be that buyer!
The best real estate advice you’ll ever get is, “If You Sell High, You’ll Buy High!” There is no way around it, if you sell high and buy immediately then chances are you’re going to buy high too. If you wait for a different time of year, a completely different year or a different area altogether then yes, maybe you can buy for less but I’m talking about a similar area and at the same time of the year. Guess what? The same applies, “if you sell low chances are you’ll buy low too.” It all depends on whether you rent in between cycles or not.
