Surveyors have been marking up tree trunks with orange paint near the washed-out section of Bouquet Canyon….

The surveyors are leaving marks where they have been, in hopes of opening the road by March 31st.

Officials want to make sure the road will hold up in the event of another rainstorm before summertime.
