Congratulations to Daviyonne Weathersby of Valencia High School for being selected as a “Player of the Week.”

Valencia girls basketball’s Daviyonne Weathersby had a solid week helping her team secure a couple of big wins. Against Palmdale, her eight points, four in the fourth quarter, aided the Vikings’ 48-44 win over Palmdale. The Valencia guard had a much bigger game in the Vikings’ 67-47 win over Burroughs Friday night. She had 18 points, six assists and six steals.

For her production, Lockheed Federal Credit Union will donate $250 to the Valencia High Booster club. Congratulations Daviyonne, from The Santa Clarita Valley Signal Newspaper, Lockheed Federal Credit Union, and your hometown station KHTS.
