Arthritis Walk 2005 – May 15, 2005

The 2005 annual, nationwide Arthritis Walk took place in the Santa Clarita Valley on Sunday, May 15 at Bridgeport Park . The walk was a great success, with the total amount of donations at $12,177, all going to "support Arthritis Foundation research, public health and public policy efforts to improve the lives of people with arthritis."

It is an annual event of the Arthritis Foundation, which "raises awareness and funds to fight arthritis, the nation’s leading cause of disability." The walk helped the lives of 70 million men, women and children with arthritis or joint problems.

Participants chose from either a three-mile or one-mile walk route, wrote inspirational messages on the Wall of Heroes, wore blue “hero” hats and enjoyed a day of fitness and sunshine.
