For the 9th consecutive year, KHTS invites residents to experience a family-friendly event that has become an annual tradition within the Santa Clarita Valley. KHTS has worked alongside community leaders and the city in order to provide an event that combines four mega-shows in one: the SCV Emergency Expo, Marketplace, Arts and Crafts Fair and the city of Santa Clarita Earth, Arbor Day Festival.

“Our show gets bigger and better every year,” said Carl Goldman, KHTS Station co-owner and 2018 Home and Garden Show event organizer. “Almost 500 vendors and plenty of fun stuff for the kids including pig races, a petting zoo, pony rides. And plenty of shopping available in our crafts area.”

In addition to the hundreds of boutiques and activities available for the whole family, the KHTS Home and Garden Show has once again partnered with the SCV Emergency Expo – an annual Santa Clarita event which gives local Los Angeles County firefighters and Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station deputies a unique opportunity to meet and familiarize themselves with residents.

Along with meeting a real-life firefighter and sheriff’s deputy, children and their families will be given an opportunity to climb on board a fire truck, as well as a chance to hit the siren of a sheriff’s deputy’s vehicle.

Those in attendance at the SCV Emergency Expo on Saturday, will not only get to experience how first responders enter their vehicles when they’re called to an emergency, but will also see a live demonstration on how LACoFD personnel get victims out of vehicles during a life-or-death situation.

“LACoFD will be performing their ‘Jaws of Life’ demonstration on Saturday afternoon,” Goldman said. “It’s amazing to see how quickly they can rescue someone from a vehicle by demolishing the car without further injuring the passenger. I’ve watched them do the demonstration for the past nine years and I am still mesmerized watching them.”

The 2018 KHTS Home and Garden Show will also highlight the community’s trust in the exceptionalism of all the local vendors “AwesomeTown” has to offer.

“We are picky about the vendors we select. Most have been established in Santa Clarita for many years, allowing our visitors to speak with trusted experts,” Goldman said. “We have vendors to cover every aspect of your home and garden, sharing the latest in designs and products.”

“It’s one of our biggest events of the year, and it takes months of preparation to pull off,” Goldman said. “But every year it becomes a prime example of how connected and ‘small-town-esc’ our community remains to be, and KHTS will continue to help organize it for as long as Santa Clarita wants it.”

The 9th Annual KHTS Home and Garden Show is free for all to attend and will be located at Central Park, 27150 Bouquet Canyon Rd.

The KHTS Home and Garden Show kicks off Saturday, April 28 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The second and final day of the show will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 29.
