Providing a number of food trucks, games and a rubber duck regatta, the annual Rubber Ducky Festival, held by the Samuel Dixon Family Health Center provided the ideal Saturday out for families and residents alike.
Along with providing raffles, a Kid Zone offering an obstacle course and a rock climbing wall, there was also live entertainment through some local talent in students from the Santa Clarita School of Performing Arts there to entertain guests between races.
Everyone who adopted a duck for a donation of five dollars were able to race their ducks in the races held that day. All proceeds from this event go on to help support the under and uninsured members of the community through the Samuel Dixon Family Health Care Center.
With the 2015 Rubber Ducky Festival providing over 2200 patient visits for uninsured residents, this year’s event was surely a success.
