A Canyon Country man was arrested for attempted robbery after he allegedly pointed a gun at a person who declined to purchase a gold chain for sale.

Around 12 p.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to the 26200 block of Golden Valley Road in Santa Clarita regarding an attempted robbery involving the sale of a gold chain, said Deputy Mariela Picard, a spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“The suspect… arrived at a park with a friend to sell him a gold chain,” Picard said. “After the victim refused to purchase the chain, a male exited the vehicle and pointed a firearm at the victim.”

The suspect fled the scene and was later found and arrested by SCV deputies.

Dylan McIntosh, 20, from Santa Clarita, was arrested for attempted robbery and conspiracy, both felonies.

He was booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail with bail set at $50,000, according to Picard.
