This special occasion is set for Saturday, Nov. 9, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Castaic Animal Care Center.

This free event is open to the public and promises an engaging day filled with activities and resources for pet enthusiasts and community members alike. The highlights of the event include:

• Adoption Fees Waived: All adoption fees for cats and dogs will be waived (only licensing fees apply), making it easier than ever for families to welcome a new furry member into their home.
• Pet Starter Kits: Attendees who adopt pets will receive special giveaways and starter kits from renowned pet food brands Zignature and Fussie Cat, ensuring their new companions are well-cared for from day one.
• Veterans Groups and Local Recruiters: Various veterans’ groups will be present to support the event and share information on local services and resources available for those who have served.
• Lovies Dogz Foundation: Representatives from this organization will be available to discuss the benefits of service animals and the importance of providing second chances to animals in need.
• Training Consultations: Arrow Custom Dog Training will offer consultations for pet owners seeking advice on behavior and training, helping new pet owners understand how to best care for their animals.
• Family-Friendly Fun: Face painting, food trucks, local retailers, and more will create a festive atmosphere, making the event enjoyable for attendees of all ages.
