City Holds 35th Annual Tree Planting In Celebration Of Arbor Day

On Saturday, the City of Santa Clarita celebrated Arbor Day with its annual ceremonial tree dedication.

With the help of volunteer boy scouts, a beautiful new tree will permanently bloom next to the sign for the Santa Clarita Sports Complex.

Arbor Day traces its roots back to 1879, when approximately one million trees were planted across Nebraska.

For the previous three decades, the City of Santa Clarita has celebrated this tradition by planting a new tree every year around the holiday.

Also held Saturday was the City’s Neighborhood Cleanup Event, allowing residents to help preserve and keep our city clean.

Arbor Day lands on April 25th, 2025.
