COC will host a free job fair intended for veterans, students and members of the community to offer opportunities with different employers throughout the Santa Clarita Valley.

College of the Canyons will Host a Veterans Job Fair set for Friday from 9-11 a.m. at the University Center.

This free event will be open to the public for military veterans, community members and students. Resumes will be accepted for full-time and part-time positions in customer service, sales, food services and more, according to the event’s organizers.

Attendees must register at www.caljobs.ca.gov prior to the event.

COC is also working with community partners and USC’s Social Work program to create a network of support for veterans called the SCV Veterans Collaborative.

More than 10,000 Santa Clarita Valley residents are veterans who’ve served in the various branches of the armed forces.
