Several Danny DeVito-led TV spots for Jersey Mike’s have been released in the last few months, including a few filmed at locations here in our Santa Clarita Valley. 

Steve Youlios, owner of nine Jersey Mike’s locations in Santa Clarita (and three others in Santa Barbara), including the Golden Valley location where the commercial was filmed, commented on the unforgettable experience. 

“It was a lot of fun, it was really wonderful to meet a man like Danny DeVito who is not only a great guy but from New Jersey,” said Youlios. “I’m so impressed about how it was handled, and some of our employees are extras in the commercials.”

In one commercial, DeVito leads Jersey Mike’s employees through a training montage to the tune of “Eye of the Tiger,” prepping sandwich makers to strengthen their meat slicing technique with the “Arm of the Slicer.”

“It was a good time, a very unusual experience,” Youlios said. “Golden Valley is a wonderful location and nice shopping center. The management has been really nice to work with and it’s just perfect.”
