Deputies Investigate Burglary Of Several Santa Clarita Businesses

On Friday night multiple businesses were broken into in Newhall.

On Saturday around 4 a.m. deputies received reports Tutti Frutti, Subway, S&S Donuts and Cigars & Cigarettes for less were broken into on Lyons Avenue in Newhall, according to Deputy Lemus from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station.

“All four businesses were broken into,” said Lemus.

Cash was taken from each of the registers, according to Lemus.

Suspects are still at large, added Lemus.

“They just broke the door and my husband heard the noise and he came out and the guy was already in here and my husband screamed for help and the guy ran away,” said Alyssa Chau, owner of S&S Donuts.

  1. What business owner would leave any cash in the register after closing?

  2. Oh my! What has happened to Santa clarita! So sorry for those businesses that had this happen.Everyday the Signal has article about all our crime. We must find a way to control this.

  3. Vote out democrats to restore law and order.

  4. Crime, Inc. Homeless, Inc.

    Why?

Certain sections of town can be used as areas where crime and homeless can be allowed to run wild.
Make the place as unsafe as possible for citizens and businesses? Then the developers can swoop in and buy at lower prices. What else can it be?

There are probably many other corrupt reasons crime, homelessness, assaults, dead people in shopping mall cars and train stations, a few deaths, home invasions are increasing.

Either we can’t do anything about it or we won’t do anything about it.

In fact, I remember when some politician out here posted an article about Lock your doors by 9:00 pm.

Sure the democrat politicians are all in for this, but the republicans aren’t much better because they don’t do anything either. For instance, Mike Garcia.

Businesses need to invest in steel doors. People have to keep their eyes peeled. It’s not nearly as bad as some downtown “no go” areas. But remember those “no go” areas started out with creeping crime too.
