A Sigalert was put into place at Calgrove Boulevard shortly after 5 a.m., according to California Highway Patrol officials.
“There was a big-rig that had a punctured fuel tank,” said Sgt. Haggard. “It spilled diesel across the No. 2, 3, 4 and 5 lanes. Everything but the fast lane.”
About two hours into the cleanup, he said, traffic was alleviated when cleanup crews were able to open the No. 2 lane.
