Dutch Bros To Open Store In Canyon Country

Dutch Bros Coffee has been approved to open a location in Canyon Country.

Dutch Bros has a project that has been approved on Valley Center Drive near Soledad Canyon and Golden Valley Roads, said Jason Crawford, the director of community development for the City of Santa Clarita.

The beloved coffee shop is set to be built next to a new McDonald’s, which was also approved to be built in the near future, according to Crawford.

Dutch Bros started in 1992 as a pushcart by the railroad tracks in downtown Grants Pass, Oregon, according to their website.

Dane and Travis Boersma left the dairy business to serve up espresso, rock their favorite music and make connections with their community.

With the help of family, friends and loyal customers, Dutch Bros caught on and started growing. The expansion started in Oregon when the first franchise opened in 2000, then quickly spread across the northwest.

Today, Dutch Bros continues to grow and is dedicated to making a massive difference one cup at a time.

What drink are you most looking forward to having from Dutch Bros? Let us know in the comments.

  1. Yea!!!! I despise Starbucks !!! I’ve gone without coffee if Starbucks was the only option.

  2. Same here!! Finally!! Woowhooo!! Now I don’t have to drive to Palmdale haha

  3. Nice if you like coffee that is nod Starbucks or Dunkin.
However, I see another traffic light on a road that connects Soledad to Golden Valley. Alos, yet another major chain fast-food place? Aren’t there enough on Soledad? Give me a full-feature Dairy Queen or a Foster’s Freeze.

  4. When are you taking job applications?

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
