Craig Shoemaker, a two time Emmy award-winning comedian, is scheduled to perform at The Canyon Santa Clarita on July 26.

Shoemaker has been an entertainer for over 30 years, starting as a stand-up comedian and going on to write, produce and act. In addition to winning two Emmys, he was also named Comedian of the Year at The American Comedy Awards on ABC, according to his website.

The performer’s extensive credits include “Daditude,” a 90-minute stand-up special that aired on Showtime and Netflix, and a recurring role on “Parks & Recreation.”

Shoemaker also wrote, produced and starred in the movies “Totally Baked” and “The LoveMaster,” and he writes for “Fuller House,” according to his IMDB page.

“There isn’t enough room on my business card for all the vocational endeavors,” Shoemaker said on his website. “My therapist charges me a group rate!”

The comedian’s latest undertaking is “Comedy Kitchen,” a show where a comedian cooks and a chef stands on stage telling jokes. Judges decide who created the most inspiring experience, and the winner receives $10,000 to donate to their chosen charity, according to event organizers.

“After touring the world performing standup, I learned that laughter is a precious commodity,” Shoemaker said on his website. “I want to make people aware of the importance of adding laughter to our daily routine. It truly is the best medicine.”

Shoemaker is scheduled to perform on July 26 at 6 p.m. at The Canyon, located at 24201 Valencia Blvd. For more information, or to purchase tickets, visit the event website here.
