Flu season is beginning in Santa Clarita, so those who haven’t gotten their flu shot yet should do so as soon as possible, according to a Santa Clarita pediatrician.

It takes about two weeks for the shot to become effective, and four weeks to induce full immunity, making it ideal for individuals to get their flu shots before flu season starts.
“The flu shot (is) the one that everybody says they get sick after,” said Dr. Rochelle Feldman of Prima Pediatrics. “Wrong. The truth is, the flu shot can’t give you the flu– it’s scientifically impossible, and the reason is because it’s dead. It’s not live virus, it’s killed vaccine.”
The real reason so many people get the flu immediately after getting the flu shot is simply because they waited too long.

“You already were incubating influenza virus before you got the shot, and that is why you got sick right after the shot,” Feldman said.
Those who don’t get the flu shot because of a fear of needles can now get a nasal flu vaccine. However, there is a slight chance the nasal vaccine can cause the flu because it is a live virus.
“There is a very, very, very remote chance that you could actually get the flu from it,” Feldman said. “It’s like one in 100,000– not very much, so your odds are excellent.”
Besides the fact that it doesn’t involve needles, another advantage of the nasal vaccine is that it actually protects more than just the person who got it.
“Not only does it vaccinate you, it vaccinates those around you because it induces herd immunity, just like when we used the live polio vaccines,” Feldman said.
In addition to getting a flu shot, Feldman also recommends families wash their hands frequently, get enough sleep and keep warm in cold weather.

Santa Clarita pediatrician Dr. Rochelle Feldman of Prima Pediatrics is board-certified in both pediatrics and neonatal-prenatal medicine, and is affiliated with several nearby hospitals. She has been a pediatrician in Santa Clarita for 35 years, and is one of the only pediatricians in Santa Clarita who specializes in the treatment of mitochondrial diseases. Her personal philosophy is to “take care of the whole child, remembering that the parent knows the child best and at first do no harm. We use complementary medicine when appropriate and avoid medication in lieu of natural means when possible.”

This woman is an idiot! The flu shot only works 17% – 28% of the time. It is not worth taking and is the only shot that still contains Mercury, which even the FDA now recognizes does harm to the human body on some level that is not measurable yet.
Get the flu, get the immunity and move on. Don’t put unnecessary metals inside your body.
100% agree with Tim. Shedding from recently vaccinated spreads disease.
The mercury in the flu shot is 50,000ppb – a whopping 25,000x’s the EPA ‘safe’ of 2ppb.
Wash hands, vitamin C and D, sleep, avoid sugar – Proven to be superior to vaccines without the side effects.

What an ignorant vaccine pushing woman. Pediatricians make almost ALL their money from vaccines. The reason people get sick after a flu shot is because it’s full of poison and the shot overwhelms the body w toxins. It also lowers overall immunity and makes you more likely to catch sick w anything! Stay away from the flu shot and any vaccine if you want true health.
