Comedy for Canines promises laughs, food and fun next month, all for the benefit of homeless dogs at the no-kill animal rescue, the Brittany Foundation.

The Brittany Foundation promises its funniest fundraiser set for August 11, 2017, at J.R.’s Comedy Club in Valencia.

The comedian to be featured August 11 is Dennis Blair from Las Vegas. Blair has been on HBO, “The Tonight Show” and even the Academy Awards, according to Randy Lubas of J.R.’s Comedy Club.

“He not only is a great comedian, he is a world class musician and can sing and play a song parody of any artists the audience calls out,” Lubas said.

Blair has previously performed at J.R.’s Comedy Club, and has experience making his audiences howl with laughter, according to event organizers.

Comedy for Canines will also have a silent auction and raffle that will benefit the dogs of the Brittany Foundation.

The Brittany Foundation is trying to raise money for special needs dogs who require surgery and medical attention. Their sanctuary in Agua Dulce is a no-kill facility where dogs are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and given a thorough veterinary check-up, among other health benefits.

Tickets for the event are $20 each, plus a two-item minimum food and/or drink from the club. A total of $10 from each ticket is going directly to the Brittany Foundation. Guests must be at least 18 years old or older as per club regulations.

The event will run from 7 p.m. to midnight, and the comedy show will begin at 8 p.m.

To purchase tickets, contact the Brittany Foundation at [email protected] or call 661-713-5240. Click here to purchase your ticket via Paypal. Once the foundation has received the Paypal payment, tickets will be marked with the guest’s name and held at the club door for pickup that night.

J.R.’s Comedy Club is located at 25848 Tournament Rd, Valencia, CA 91355 (inside JJ’s Bar & Grill).

The Brittany Foundation is a nonprofit charity dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, care and placement of homeless dogs, according to their website.
