In November 2018, Jeff Boulter, 39, was held to answer for all counts against him except counts No. 4 and 5, which include lewd acts upon a child and forcible lewd acts upon a child, according to Ricardo Santiago, a spokesperson at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

However, during the proceedings, a San Fernando Superior Court judge ordered that Boulter would be held to answer on felony counts of kidnapping to commit oral copulation, kidnapping for child molesting, kidnapping a victim under age 14 and attempted forcible oral copulation of a victim under 14 years old, according to district attorney officials.

Boulter’s charges stem from an incident in which he allegedly dragged a child into a dark corner of a wedding reception on May 19 of this year, according to Ani Bailey, the prosecuting attorney.

A server at the wedding noticed the alleged assault and confronted Boulter, who then fled.

If convicted as charged, Boulter faces a possible maximum sentence of life in state prison.

He is currently being held at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles, with bail set at $1 million.

Boulter is scheduled to return to the San Fernando Courthouse on Jan. 2 for a pretrial hearing.
