Motorcyclist Killed In Collision Near COC’s Canyon Country Campus

California Highway Patrol officials are investigating a second fatal crash in Santa Clarita on Wednesday.

A fatal vehicle-versus-motorcycle collision in Canyon Country was reported at approximately 9:40 p.m. The crash was reported near the intersection of Sierra Highway and Campus Drive, near College of the Canyons’ Canyon Country campus.

Officers are still on scene investigating. More information will be posted as it becomes available.

No information on the drivers’ identities are being released at this time, pending the notification of next of kin.

In the first fatal crash, an elderly motorist had a heart attack before crashing into the rear end of a big rig near Magic Mountain Parkway and Tourney Road on Wednesday afternoon.

  1. How is this possible that it happens again? My husband was hit by a car making a U-turn on this same stretch of highway on December 1, 2016. My husband was also on a motorcycle and the driver of the car was intoxicated. My husband lived 24 days before he died of massive head injuries. Laws need to enacted to stop people from making u-turns on this stretch of road!
