The long-running CBS series “NCIS” filmed Thursday in Newhall on Main Street.

The cast and crew regularly film in and around Newhall, including at a local church.

“NCIS uses the First Presbyterian Church, Newhall grounds for catering when they film on the area,” said Susan Wachter, who works at Little Shepherd’s Nursery School, which is hosted by the church. “They are always very generous — inviting the Little Shepherd’s preschool staff to eat. Today, Mark Harmon was having his lunch while our staff were too. He was really nice and got up from his plate to meet us and pose for photos.”

Actors, actresses and crew will be in the area from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Main Street between 5th and 6th streets.

Both Intersections of 5th and 6th streets have been shut down for the production with “no parking” signs posted on both cut-off areas.

The cast and crew will be shooting outdoor scenes, including walking and talking and a driving scene.

In early April, “NCIS” had set up a fake traffic jam in Old Town Newhall from a local bar to the streets.
