“One went with paramedics,” said an official with the Los Angeles County Fire Department, adding that others may have been transported by ambulance.

The collision occurred shortly after 3:30 p.m., said Lt. Brenda Cambra with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s station.

“The crash originally started as a read-end collision,” said Cambra. “There were six cars involved.”

One of the patients transported also suffered some sort of ailment near the time of the crash.

“One patient had an unrelated medical issue,” said Cambra.

Cambra did not believe the medical issue was the cause of the crash, and that it occurred after the collision. Nine people were taken for evaluation of what she called “minor injuries.”

Deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station were first on scene, and called for other emergency personnel when at least one patient had to be transported.

  1. I think you meant Newhall Road, not Newhall Ranch Road which doesn’t run through Newhall..

  2. It’s Newhall Avenue (not Road), and I don’t see any mention of Newhall Ranch Road in the story (but perhaps it has been corrected?).

  3. P.S. Could you please re-post this in ant language and tell them to leave us alone?
