The event took place in the Aliento community at 25191 Via Princessa in Santa Clarita and ran from 4-7 p.m. Saturday evening.
“We decided to hold an end-of-summer celebration because we know we have many families that are moving into the community and wanted to do something special … as they make their way back to school,” said Lyndsay Fuller, director of sales and marketing at Pardee Homes.
KHTS AM-1220 was live broadcasting remotely from the event, which featured a “concert on the lawn” by local alternative rock group Dole Humphries, a barbecue dinner that included hamburgers and hot dogs, face painting, the KHTS fire truck and more.
“This is a great way to introduce Aliento to Santa Clarita,” said Marlene Hanson, event coordinator with Pardee Homes.
All the organizers asked from attendees was for them to take a quick tour of some of their upcoming neighborhood and walk some of the model homes.
“Aliento has a neighborhood really for everyone,” Fuller said. “You’ve got the family that this is their first time buying a home and so we’ve got some smaller products that are single-family beautiful homes … and really we go all the way up to Arista, which is our largest.”
“It’s a little taste of what you can expect when you move into the community,” she said. “It’s for everybody (from) surrounding neighborhoods and (the) area — just a little celebration, and you can expect a lot more of those out of Aliento.”
