Next Lottery Drawing Now At An Estimated 1.1 Billion

The next mega millions lottery drawing planned for this Friday is now at an estimated $1.1 billion, making this the third largest record amount to date.

The lottery drawing is scheduled for Friday at 8 p.m., according to officials with the California Lottery.

Players can either choose their own five numbers plus the mega number, or have their selection of digits randomly picked for them, according to officials.

“We look with anticipation on the growing jackpot,” said Pat McDonald, the lead director of the Mega Millions Consortium. “Seeing the jackpot build over a period of months and reaching the billion-dollar mark is truly breathtaking. We encourage customers to keep play in balance and enjoy the ride. Someone is going to win.”

You win the jackpot if your numbers all match all six winning numbers in a drawing.

In November 2021, a winning SuperLotto Plus jackpot worth $38 million matched all six winning numbers 1, 11, 27, 31, 36, with a Mega number 22 was sold at a Shell station in Santa Clarita.
