Reports released by L.A. County Animal Control detail the moments when a pitbull attacked a small dog in a Santa Clarita apartment complex, resulting in the two dogs and the pitbull owner being hospitalized.
On Saturday April 16, at 8:45 a.m., an attack broke out between a 61 pound Pitbull named Bronson and an Australian Shepard named Bozzy.
“He was out walking his dog (Bronson) to defecate. He was using a retractable leash and had some slack on it. They turned the corner and his dog saw her dog and bolted and pulled out of his hand,” states the L.A. County Animal Control statement from Michael Karlman, the pitbull’s owner. The statements were attained by L.A. City News Service.
The owner of the Australian Shepard, Sophia Kahn, told animal control officials that she turned a corner and saw the pitbull and its owner for the first time. The pitbull instantly started to attempt to come at her dog and Kahn turned around and walked away.
The two dogs met again at the end of a walkway and the pitbull succeeded in getting away from its owner, according to the animal control report taken from Kahn.
The confrontation resulted in the pitbull “latching on” to the smaller dog. Karlman is recorded as attempting to pull his dog off the smaller one, while Kahn screamed for help and kicked the pitbull. Other neighbors heard the commotion and also tried to kick the pitbull.
At this point in the altercation, a neighbor stabbed the pitbull. Khan’s fiance stated in the animal control report that a neighbor came outside with a knife and asked, “Should I stab it?” to which he replied “Yes.” The pitbull was stabbed in the leg and released the dog.
Both dogs were rushed to the veterinarian and said to be in critical condition at the time. Meanwhile the owner of the pitbull, Karlman, was taken to the hospital due to symptoms of shock, decreased blood pressure and stress on his heart. In his statement he also complained of bites and scratches sustained from the Australian Shepard.
The dogs were treated in medical procedures that amounted to $3,727.40 for the Australian shepard and $6,023.50 for the pitbull.
A citation for failure to license a dog in L.A. County was issued by animal control with a $100 penalty fee. It was also discovered that the complex in which the two dog owners lived did not allow pitbull breeds or crossbreeds of any kind as a part of the lease.

That is how you train a pit bull:
Sit
Stay
Stop
Stab, repeat.
Shoot, empty magazine.
Play dead.
Good dog!
Why would you even publish Max’s comment???
I am in complete agreement. Pitbulls need to be eradicated.
Because they are bred for dog fighting, pit bulls are the most aggressive type of dog.
If the pit bull had not been stabbed, he probably would have killed the Aussie.
There is a Facebook page about pit bull attacks on pets, and attacks are frequently reported.
In the US a pit bull kills a person an average of once every twelve days. They are weapons that can pull their own trigger.
What a despicable thing to say. Max, you obviously have mental health issues. Any dogs(any breeds) can get into a fight, you moron.
Max is correct, pit bulls should be eradicated. It is despicable to defend a breed that kills 50 Americans every year, search for “fatal pit bull attacks” for more information.
Despicable comment, Max.
Has there been an investigation into the guy (I’d never refer to him as a man) who was “told” by a shelter (the fb post didn’t say which one) to dump a neighborhood cat he was trying to turn in that they refused to take ??
Miranda in Wonderland, Max has Freedom of Speech, that’s why & KHTS stands up for the Constitution! Many decent people believe in tough justice towards evil creatures, be they 4 or 2 legged!! Our world is collapsing because of evil Woke Liberals!!
Max does have the freedom of speech. But KHTS has the power to publish or not publish comments. That’s why your posts don’t instantly appear until they are reviewed. Looking at what they do permit, makes me wonder how bad are the ones that don’t get published.
Stop complaining and name calling and do something helpful. That’s what decent people do.
A neighbor of mine was killed by a pit bull he owned. An acquaintance of mine was attacked by his pit bull and did have to empty the magazine of a handgun to stop the attack. Stop making excuses for these abominable animals that have no place within humanity.
It is a serious problem that needs to be directly addressed.
Snn in Wonderland, Decent people continue to attempt to do honorable things/behaviors only to be ruined by soft on crime, bleeding heart, naive, America hating/sabotaging Liberals!
Oh, so that’s your explanation for not doing anything.
