Santa Clarita Concerts In The Park 2019 Lineup Preview

The official lineup for the 2019 Santa Clarita Concerts in the Park has been released, and KHTS is here to offer a preview of the bands set to perform this summer.

From July to August, Concerts in the Park is set to entertain Santa Clarita residents with eight weeks of live music.

The following Concerts in the Park lineup have been set by the City of Santa Clarita:

July 6 — Wannabe: A Tribute to Spice Girls

A Toronto-based tribute to the Spice Girls, Wannabe is the brainchild of Suzy Wilde, Barbara Johnston, Anika Johnson, Catherine Merriam and Jasmyn Fyffe.

Backed by a six-piece band, this group has spent months studying concert footage, working with a dialect coach, lifting choreography, arranging/charting the songs and rehearsing to provide fans an authentic 90s experience.

Wannabe has performed in concerts across North America, and now set to come to Santa Clarita to give concert-goers what they really, really want.

July 13 — Surf City Allstars: A Tribute to the Beach Boys

The Surf City Allstars were taught their vocals by original Beach Boys Mike Love and Brian Wilson, and often tour with original Beach Boys Al Jardine and David Marks to this day.

Offering the “most authentic” Beach Boys experience, the Surf City Allstars are all set to perform for Santa Clarita crowds and pick up all those good vibrations.

July 20 — Prussia

A four-piece “West Coast funk powerhouse” based out of North Hollywood, Prussia is set to wow Santa Clarita listeners with songs from their debut album “Glory Days.”

The band has won 2 Downbeat Student Awards for Outstanding Performance in the Pop/Rock/Blues category.

July 27 — Queen Nation: A Tribute to Queen

A tribute to the iconic band, Queen Nation’s production of Queen’s greatest hits “preserves the image, sound, and stage persona of vintage Queen” through tours around the world.

Queen Nation is ready to rock Santa Clarita viewers this coming July with their 90-minute tribute show, returning once again to perform in Central Park.

August 3 — Mirage: A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac

A tribute group recognized as one of the best by Stevie Nicks herself, Mirage is headed to the stage as the first show in August.

Santa Clarita crowds can prepare for the classics of Fleetwood Mac performed with attention to detail, from the music to the costumes.

August 10 — Grateful Shred: A Tribute to Grateful Dead

Touting “effortless three-part vocal harmonies, choogling beats,” and “tripped out, shredded solos,” the Grateful Shred is described as less of a true cover band and more of a take on the original by it’s members.

Far from being a historical re-enactment, Grateful Shred’s “laissez faire vibe” infuses the band with a gentle spirit and warmth, said to offer an air of authenticity to the sound of the original by the band’s relaxed approach to the music.

August 17 — The Replicas: Party Music

With more than 500 songs in their repertoire – from Frank Sinatra to the Foo Fighters and everything in between – The Replicas are set to bring the party to Santa Clarita this summer with an eight-piece variety ensemble.

August 24 — Erotic City: A Tribute to Prince

Get ready to party like it’s 1999 with Erotic City, a Prince tribute band. Based in Oregon, Erotic City is a tribute to Prince that has paid homage to the original artist for nearly 20 years.

Concerts in the Park are set to start at 7 p.m. on Saturday nights weekly.

The concerts are set to be free, with a variety of food vendors and other concessions are to be sold during the events.

Guests are encouraged to arrive early to find parking, or find alternate means of transportation as parking is limited.

The Santa Clarita City Transit line passes right next to Central Park, offering residents another way to get to the show.

The City of Santa Clarita encourages residents and visitors to arrive with lawn chairs and blankets to sit, relax and enjoy the shows.
