Urbina explains that you cannot force someone to take the initiative to deal with issues. It’s also important decide within a person’s self whether they’re confident enough to consciously deal with the issues appropriately.

As a parent, Urbina encourages being a good model for one’s children. Instead of pushing aside issues involving his children, he noted he’d rather take the time to talk about any issues resonating within the family.

Urbina does this by creating a safe space where he feels it’s approachable enough to be able to express any issues.

“Now we’re wondering in our 40’s and 50’s (why) life isn’t supporting us in a powerful way,” Urbina shares, stressing the importance of avoiding “loose ends” with people that could affect businesses and relationships negatively.

But why do people avoid handling or addressing their issues? Urbina’s answer is fear.

“What kind of fear?” Urbina questions. ”For me, it’s the fear of confrontation.”

People often have a general fear of confronting another person, and deciding what to say when you’re in the situation where you have the chance to resolve the problem, according to Urbina.

“What would I be afraid of? I’m afraid that I might offend you, and if I offend you, that’s what would have me continue (avoiding) issues,” Urbina explains.
