The league began as Castaic little League in 1995, rebranded to Santa Clarita Little League in 2015 then transitioned to Cal Ripken Baseball in 2016.
By becoming a charter member with Cal Ripken baseball, the league was able to open it’s doors to all residents of the Santa Clarita Valley and allow the entry of established teams. Families and friends that wanted to stay and play together would be allowed to do so. Furthermore, boundary restrictions imposed by Little League International would now be lifted.
The league will offer varying levels of play for boys and girls between the ages of four and twelve, defined by the calendar that begins on May 1.
