Los Angeles Police Department escorts have been driving through the community Wednesday for the funeral of fellow LAPD officer and Santa Clarita Valley resident Mark L. Robinson.

The funeral was held at Grace Baptist Church and attended by Robinson’s friends, family and colleagues after he died from his battle with cancer on Sunday, Jan. 15 at age 43.

A procession of over a dozen police cars and motorcycles were seen driving through the community after the service, according to witnesses.

Robinson is survived by his wife AnnaLee, a former teacher in the Saugus Union School District, and their two young children.
