The Cheesecake Factory is officially opening its doors at the Westfield Valencia Town Center next week, and the KHTS Features team got a sneak peek look at the highly anticipated restaurant before its grand opening set for Nov. 8.

“We have been getting requests for a location in Valencia for longer than I can remember,” said Alethea Rowe, the company’s senior director of public relations. “We really found what we think is the perfect location here for us at Valencia Town Center … and we couldn’t be more excited about our opening on Tuesday.”
Located on Town Center Drive across the street from Pottery Barn, special guests were invited to the 8,100-square-foot facility on Thursday for “mock meals” as part of the pre-opening training process.
Nearly 300 new staff members partnered with their trainers to deliver what Rowe called “The Cheesecake Factory experience” to dozens of patrons throughout the day, some of whom were welcomed inside by members of management after passing by on the street.
“For different guests, there’s different reasons that they love The Cheesecake Factory,” Rowe said. “It’s the beauty of the restaurant from the moment that you walk in the front doors, it’s the more than 250 delicious dishes, … more than 30 legendary flavors of cheesecakes, handcrafted cocktails — but I think it’s all of those things put together that create the Cheesecake Factory experience.”
Perhaps most famous for its wide variety of delectable cheesecakes, the popular restaurant started out in Detroit in the 1940s after founder Evelyn Overton came across a recipe that inspired her to create the “original” cheesecake patrons can still enjoy today.
“That really launched our company, and from the original, of course, we’ve added so many delicious flavors over the years,” Rowe said. “Just like our menu, whatever you’re in the mood for to enjoy for dessert, you can find it in a cheesecake. If it’s a salted caramel or a white chocolate raspberry truffle or an oreo or a snickers — there’s something for everyone.”
The Cheesecake Factory Valencia’s featured fall flavors include pumpkin and pumpkin pecan, and 25 cents from every slice sold will be donated to Feeding America and its network of food banks.
Since restaurant officials first began partnering with Feeding America in 2008, they’ve donated more than $4 million from their annual featured flavors alone, which will be available this year until Thanksgiving.
As SCV residents eagerly await The Cheesecake Factory Valencia’s grand opening on Tuesday, restaurant staffers, trainers and members of management are continuing to prepare themselves to give their future patrons the best experience possible.
“If our number of guests’ requests we’ve gotten over the years is any indication, this will be a very busy location for us,” Rowe said. “We really hope that our guests here in Valencia will enjoy the same delicious, memorable experience that they can get at any Cheesecake Factory across the country, but right here in their backyard.”
The Cheesecake Factory Valencia is located at 24250 Town Center Drive, #110 at the Westfield Valencia Town Center. Starting on Tuesday, Nov. 8, the restaurant will be open during the following hours: Monday – Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12 a.m.; and Sunday from 10:a.m. to 10 p.m. For more information, click here.
