Deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station detained four people who were caught in a stolen vehicle in Saugus Wednesday, identifying them as suspects in a string of vehicle burglaries around Santa Clarita.

At approximately 10 a.m. Wednesday morning, deputies made contact with the suspects in a car parked near the southeast corner of Seco Canyon Road and Copper Hill Drive, according to Lt. Doug Mohoroff with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
“Around that time, a deputy found four suspects that were potentially related to a number of vehicle burglaries,” said Lt. Mohrhoff.

Deputies made contact with the suspects — two men and two women — after matching them to suspect descriptions provided in other car thefts, and discovered the vehicle they were in at that time was also stolen.
“As a result of the (deputies) suspicion, we currently we have four suspects detained, pending the investigation,” Morhoff said.
The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station tweeted about the incident, urging any residents to avoid the area as deputies detained the suspected burglars.
Shirley Miller, a spokesperson for the station, said at noon Wednesday that two of the suspects remained in custody. She did not elaborate on the status of the two other suspects.
