Suspect Wanted For Stealing $55K In Target Merchandise Arrested In SCV

A man who allegedly stole approximately $55,000 worth of merchandise from Target stores across Southern California was arrested in Canyon Country Friday.

Around 7:30 p.m. Friday, deputies responded to a theft at the Target located on the 19100 block of Golden Valley Road in Canyon Country, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“A male adult known to be a repeat theft offender entered the store, selected several items from the display shelves, and exited the store through a rear exit without making an attempt to pay for the items,” Arriaga said. “The male then entered a waiting black BMW with the items and fled in an unknown direction.”

Deputies conducted a search of the area and located the vehicle on Jason Drive and Via Princessa, Arriaga said.

“A male passenger and female driver were detained, later positively identified as the suspects,” Arriaga said.

Approximately $2,600 in merchandise had been taken from the store, however the male suspect had been responsible for several thefts accumulating to approximately $55,000 in value across Southern California from the retail business, Arriaga said.

Jeaman Lee, 39, from Van Nuys, was arrested for felony grand theft, Arriaga said.

The driver, Anya Bence, 29, was arrested for grand theft and conspiracy to commit a crime, both felonies.

They were booked into the SCV Sheriff’s Station and remain in custody as of Wednesday, according to Arriaga.

  1. Even though these are still felonies, how many minutes before Gascon kicks them loose to continue racking up the totals? There is no limit for this behavior anymore. Ridiculous.

  2. Keep these A-holes locked up and throw away the keys.

  3. Luckily, Jeaman Lee (odd name) was arrested before it could commit more crimes——unfortunately, it will be released within hours to hang out with his homies and plan more Mayhem! Good ole Jakes Way & E. Newhall areas. Wake up, not Woke up Sheeple!

    • Come on Bill, minority kids need role models of successful disenfranchised rebels sticking it to the MAN. Then they can tag along at the Blxxx Losers Mayhem events and partake in the pillaging and plunder of whities, while throwing professional grade fireworks at LEO’s! Reparations! More! More! Skin whiteners are expensive, just ask Michael Jackson.

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
