This is just the second time that a TMU men’s golfer has won the NAIA National Championship, and the second-place finish in the team competition is the highest team performance in the history of TMU’s men’s golf program.

After the event, Johnson was named NAIA Player of the Year, NAIA Freshman of the Year, and First Team All-American.
