Around 5:40 p.m. reports were received of a possible vehicle fire on Arch Street, according to Supervisor Flores with the Los Angeles Fire Department.
“We got a report of trash truck on fire,” Flores said. “The trash truck dumped its load to put it out.”
The Waste Management vehicle dumped it’s smoking garbage onto Arch Street to allow first responders from the Los Angeles County Fire Department to sort it out and extinguish any possible flames.
Both 13th Street and Arch Street were closed between Pine Street and 12th Street, according to officials.
The road closure allowed for Santa Clarita Public Works to remove the debris from the road and into another Waste Management vehicle.
