Valencia Nissan staff and Castaic Animal Shelter officials are working together to find fifteen to twenty dogs new happy homes.

Valencia Nissan is welcoming residents to their Valencia location at 24111 Creekside Road on Saturday, May 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“We’re really excited,” said Don Barre of the L.A. County Shelters. “We think it’s gonna be a great event.”

Castaic Animal Shelter anticipates that there could be as many as 15 to 20 dogs in attendance for the inaugural Pet Adoption Day.

Valencia Nissan is the newest sponsor of the KHTS Adoptable Pet of the Week series, and the dealership’s Executive Manager, Bob Bailey, said the event as a chance to do something right.

Valencia Nissan is sponsoring adoption fees up to $165 per pet and also issuing certificates to cover fees for attendees who adopt for only the Castaic Animal Shelter within two weeks of the event.

“I’m excited about this event, the right place and right time.” Bailey said. “I don’t see anyone else doing anything else like this, or about this either.”

Bailey and Stepp are both excited for this event and hope all pets get adopted.

“I’m very excited, we think it will go well,” Stepp added, “anything to promote ad
