The musical is set to return to the Hollywood Pantages Theatre on Jan. 13, 2019, and City of Santa Clarita officials are offering residents the chance to see it before it flies away.

The city’s Recreation and Community Services Department is planning an excursion, which will allow residents to be shuttled to and from Hollywood to see the musical.

“‘Wicked’ is the story of two unlikely friends, Elphaba and Glinda, who you may know better as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch in ‘The Wizard of Oz,’” according to City officials.

For those who choose to use Santa Clarita’s bus services, shuttles are set to depart from The Centre at 10:30 a.m., with the show scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m.

The shuttles are set to arrive in Hollywood with enough time for guests to have lunch at nearby restaurants. The price of lunch is not included with registration for this excursion.

The show is recommended for children older than eight. Children under five years of age will not be admitted into the theatre, according to officials.

Tickets are on sale for $114 per person and $125 for non-residents, which includes reserved mezzanine seating at the theatre and charter bus transportation to the show.

For more information about this opportunity and to register to see “Wicked” with the help of the City of Santa Clarita, contact Jennifer Lindstrom, recreation coordinator, at 661-250-3731 or visit the city’s website by clicking here.

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
