Help Wanted: Pet Sitter in Sand Canyon
Diane Green: My husband and I live on Live Oak Springs Canyon Road, and occasionally, we need a pet sitter for short periods of time (daytime, or early evening), and only once a year, for overnights.
WE HAVE A DISABLED DOG (although our dog doesn’t know that), and must have someone that is RELIABLE, can follow directions to the letter, trustworthy, and an animal lover.
She is a 75 pound, 8 year old, beautiful black/silver German Shepherd. Her disability is Megaesophagus. She was born with an esophagus that has NO muscle, therefore, no peristalsis to carry food/water in to her stomach.
She sits in a ‘Bailey’ chair (a specially designed and manufactured feeding chair, www.baileychairs4dogs) where she sits comfortably at a 90 degree angle for one hour so gravity will allow food/water to pass in to her stomach.
She wears a muzzle at all times when she is outside. She doesn’t go out in the evening by herself because we get critters in the yard (bobcats, raccoons etc), and she can’t protect herself because she is muzzled.
She was born with this disability, will never grow out of it, and we have one of the funniest, most loving, special dogs ever. Naturally, monetary compensation is part of the deal and that can be discussed.

Thanking you in advance for any and all suggestions!
