Gorgeous German Shepherd Mix At The Castaic Animal Shelter Urgently Needs A Home

Since last month, Java, with her big, beautiful smile, is ready to go home to a loving family.

Java (#A5621060) is a 2 years and 8 months old German Shepherd and is waiting for her forever home after being surrendered to the Castaic Animal Shelter. She was originally adopted in 2024, but due to a change in her prior family’s situation, she was taken to the shelter.

She has not been tested to see if she interacts well with other dogs, but her previous owner states that she does well with cats.

Java also does well with kids after a visit with kids ranging from 5 to 6 years old.

She is ready for home life since she is crate-trained, potty-trained, and knows the commands to sit and lie down.

Java is one of the many animals at the shelter that urgently needs a home, so don’t wait! She is available for adoption at the Castaic Animal Care Center, located at 31044 N. Charlie Canyon Road.

The center is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and can be reached at 661-257-3191 or [email protected].
